Setting The Scene
Located on the 42nd floor of the Shangri-La Hotel, it’s grand theatrical 1940’s interior makes you feel as if you have stepped into a musical off Broadway. Servers are wearing green military uniforms to go with the theme of the night: Propaganda. A selection of hits from the 80s and 90s play while the audience start to fill up the baroque inspired theater.
Tip I: If you are a large party, ask to sit in the Upper Level where they have private theater-themed booths.
Once the drinks start flowing, your server will start to bring out the different plates to tantalize your taste buds. Our favourite: the liquid sweetcorn ravioli with chipotle & crispy corn served on top of freshly cut lime. Take a bite out of the lime to experience a surprising explosion of flavours, ending with a slight crunch.
As for the actual show, we won’t give too much away… Let’s just say, the variety of performers make sure to deliver jaw dropping, nail biting and breathtaking entertainment!
The signature Tasting Menu offers 6 distinct courses, all served in the middle and all small plates; making it ideal for sharing. The cuisine is Peruvian with a Japanese twist, each plate has a unique flavour and sensory experience in itself.
Timing is on point – the food arrives in sync with the performances, giving you enough time to eat and chat in between the acts. After all, you wouldn’t want your food to arrive in the dark.
The combination of gripping theatrical performances, palatable Peruvian cuisine and sophisticated nightlife makes it an entirely unmatched venue in Dubai.
Though, it can be quite pricey- their Tasting menu is AED 450 per person. Nonetheless, you are guaranteed to have a one of a kind experience.
After the curtains are drawn and the show comes to an end, the DJ will lure you onto the dance floor until the early hours.
